This book is useful for nursing home administrators
By Pamela M. Burgoyne
I am a professional who has consulted to nursing homes for many years. In my experience, persons with advanced dementia get the short end of the stick when it comes to care WHICH MAKES THIS BOOK SO IMPORTANT! This book is useful for nursing home administrators, doctors, nurses, and caregivers because it changes how we think and how we do care. EVERY nursing home administrator should have a copy and insist that staff engage in the principles of dementia care provided in this book. I have also facilitated an Alzheimers Support Group and my families have found this book very useful in interacting with their loved ones. And last but certainly not least, every HOSPICE worker should have a copy.
