If you have lost someone you deeply love, or have become strongly aware of your mortality, it’s hard to avoid wondering about life after death, the existence of God, notions of heaven and hell, and why we are here in the first place. The murder of Matthew McKay’s son, Jordan, sent him on a journey in search of ways to communicate with his son despite fears and uncertainty. Here he recounts his efforts — including past-life and between-lives hypnotic regressions, a technique called induced after-death communication, channeled writing, and more.
McKay, a psychologist and researcher, ultimately learned how to reach his son. In this book he provides extraordinary revelations — direct from Jordan — about the soul’s life after death, how karma works, why we incarnate, why there is so much pain in the world, the single force that connects us, and our future as souls. Unlike many books about after-death communication, near-death experiences, and past-life memories, this is a book for those who do not believe yet yearn to know what happens after death. In addition to being riveting reading, Seeking Jordan is a unique heart-, soul-, and mind-stirring reflection on the issues each of us will ultimately face.

Review
One of the most courageous books I’ve ever read, Seeking Jordan carries the message that the love between souls is immortal, eternal, and transcends this physical realm. If ever there was a message that humanity needed to hear, this is it.”
Peter Smith, president of The Michael Newton Institute
In Seeking Jordan, Matthew McKay takes us on a heart-wrenching and challenging journey into his efforts to reconnect with Jordan. His personal odyssey full of self-doubt, vulnerability, and fearlessness is one we all must face, a journey of love: love lost and love reclaimed....This book is an enormous gift of hope and liberation that reminds us once more that death is not the end but a new beginning.”
John P. Forsyth, PhD, coauthor of Your Life on Purpose and The Mindfulness & Acceptance Workbook for Anxiety
Healing runs deep into our soul and helps us stay connected to love that knows no boundaries or separation. Matthew McKay has shared his healing in the face of great loss. We are all better off for the transformative gift that is this poignant and powerful book.”
Marilyn Schlitz, PhD, author of Death Makes Life Possible
Once I started reading Dr. McKay’s book, I couldn’t put it down. His story takes the reader on a fascinating journey that begins with his unimaginable suffering over the loss of a son and ends with his profound insights into the ultimate nature of reality and an associated sense of peace and comfort.”
Dr. Allan Botkin, clinical psychologist and author of Induced After Death Communication
This book is a precious gift for anyone reading it with both an open mind and an open heart. It has changed my life because it has changed my perspective on death and it can change yours too, if you open up to the possibilities of the revelations it contains. Matthew McKay writes with extraordinary candor and, fortunately for the reader, without concern of what his hard-core,’ materialistically focused science colleagues might think of him.”
Georg Eifert, PhD, Chapman University Professor Emeritus of Psychology
A priceless primer on after-death communication, Seeking Jordan is a precious gift for those dealing with the loss of a loved one. Having communicated with thousands of souls across the veil, I recognize the words of Matthew and Jordan McKay as truth.”
Suzanne Giesemann, author of Messages of Hope and Wolf’s Message
I don’t care how many other books you’ve read on this subject; Seeking Jordan will change the way you think about keeping an open dialog with those who are on the other side of the veil.”

And the Soul Goes On ~~~~
By Heather LaRee
The author, Matthew McKay, shared his very personal story (past and current) about keeping his loving connecting relationship with his adult son, Jordan, who has died. I was attracted to this book because I subscribe to reincarnation, various levels of a soul's learning, growth, and experience, and I am deeply moved by how we are all connected--beyond this physical earth life.
"Seeking Jordan" is an intimate sharing between what McKay believes (and alternately doubts) with his son's soul. While I also entertain doubts (questions, wondering) , I also have peaceful, aligning, and deeply moving thoughts and feelings about this expansive topic.
I would easily recommend this to one who tends to lean in this same direction as this book provides peace, love, and perhaps another helpful nugget for one's own expanding growth, learning, and connection.
My time spent reading was always soothing and encouraging. There were perspectives offered that were more clearly defined and explained from what I had previously accepted as "true for me" -- so reading McKay's book was a pleasure for me. I loved it and I appreciate McKay writing it. I appreciate and thank the soul of Jordan's sharing.
Though the point of this book might be more narrow or focused as in the sub-title, "How I Learned the Truth about Death and the Invisible Universe"... I think the key resides in the first word of the main title, "Seeking". I am inspired to seek for various motivations here or there. McKay's great love for his abruptly departed son inspired him to seek and this is where he was led. I am also greatly touched by this and don't care if anyone calls it hooey, just grief, or marketing. Each of us are experiencing life and death differently -- there is no one way -- and where there is great LOVE -- that is the way I embrace & give thanks.
One can read this from the perspective of "just information" to take in, try on, keep or discard. Of course there are some who seek to debate or debunk. It doesn't matter because the Soul goes on.

I enjoyed reading this. It made me think.
By Marilyn Dalrymple
I found this book intriguing, interesting and – well – at the same time, confusing. As much as I want to believe in having contact with loved ones who have left us, I’m just not sure. Portions of this book cause me to doubt. The writing sounds like the wishful thinking of the father who lost his son. Or, maybe that’s just my interpretation.
The father wants very much to make contact with his dead son. Is he trying too hard, wishing too much, thinking that he’s made contact when he hasn’t? I like that the father/author is asking himself the same questions. This gives the book resonance.
Throughout the book Jordan, the son who was murdered, describes the other side to his father. There are helpers who make the transition from life on earth to the other side flow more easily. Jordan describes the purpose of those helpers. It all sounds reasonable. That it all sounds rational gives the book believability and strength. But, there is still a nagging voice in my head that is telling me that, like author and father Matthew McKay, PhD., I want to believe; maybe too much.
Regardless, the book is an enjoyable read. I found myself going from believing to not believing, but mostly wanting to accept as true while being skeptical. I feel the book is worth reading. It opened my mind to possibilities and caused me to ask questions and seek answers. That’s something in itself.

Not At All What I Expected - But Better!!!
By Michael Sandler Inspire Nation Host
One of the most powerful books for helping us understand life after life.
Full Disclosure: I recently interviewed Matthew McKay for our Inspire Nation Show.
If you're looking for 'science' then can't get past death's doorstep. But if you're looking to understand more about the mechanisms at play, or what's to come and where we came from, then this book is an excellent place to start.
Now I admit, I'm down the rabbit hole. I've had two near-death experiences, I've been a meditator for 20 years, and I've done past-life regressions and more. So I have my own personal bias. With that said, everything Jordan 'told' Matthew McKay and everything I've learned and experienced fit together perfectly. And they never interviewed me! I think there are some universal truths that are captured incredibly well in this story.
It is a story, a real life story with incredible lessons interspersed along the way. I love how it's put together, and it's nothing like what I expected. I thought it would be all about his journey to reconnect with his son. And it is that, but so much more. It is a beautiful everyone who's down the spiritual rabbit hole should check out; it'll make you think, get you questioning your assumptions, and to me, help you find more freedom.
